MV Driving School is a DMV-licensed teen driving school serving Fairfield and Solano County, California. It had inherited a website that looked fine on the surface and was a liability underneath.
The challenge
The old site was an admin template repurposed as a brochure — thousands of lines of dead code wrapped around a handful of real pages, carrying 34 known security vulnerabilities. Its contact form was an open email relay any bot could abuse, secrets were exposed to the browser, and several city pages simply crashed. Every page shared the same duplicate SEO.
What we did
- Rebuilt the site from scratch on a modern, secure Next.js foundation, clearing all 34 vulnerabilities.
- Replaced the open email relay with a secure server-side contact route, so lead messages are validated and delivered safely.
- Built proper local landing pages for each city served, each with unique metadata and valid structured data.
- Added trust signals — DMV certification, reviews, and one-tap call and text buttons — and cut image weight by nearly half.
The results
- A secure site — the open email relay and exposed secrets are gone, and every known vulnerability is resolved.
- A real local-SEO foundation — unique, schema-rich pages for each city replace the old duplicate content.
- A safe, reliable lead path — validated contact submissions instead of a form bots could hijack.
- Faster, more trustworthy pages — lighter images plus clear DMV-certification and review signals.
